30/11/04 - Various things added today. Two scripts have been
uploaded to /bin. rand is a quick awk
script (and shell wrapper) to generate random numbers between zero
and a given upper bound (integers). 8ball was used to test
"rand" and is a magic eight ball script!
I've also added some more Tips and Tricks.
Some small housekeeping tasks were also actioned...

17/11/04 - Another major update tonight. I have revamped
both the Tips and Tricks page and the
Search Page to output results a little
nicer - just a small housekeeping task.
I have uploaded a rant concerning
popup blocking, and how certain browsers break core HTML functionality
(I wonder if you can guess which browser it is :-) )
More scripts added to /bin, including
neartime - which displays the "relaxed" time, i.e.
"It's nearly a quarter to seven in the morning", cpiobak -
a selective backup script, and remcoms.sed to remove C
and C++ comments from source files.
Speaking of C, I've uploaded a few of my old
C programs. Probably of no use to anybody,
but nethertheless, they're online. One of them, p_ind is
particularly useful to display progress indicators from shell scripts.
I've also uploaded a few more tips to the Tips and Tricks
area.
Members also received a newsletter for November.

13/11/04 - The Tips and Tricks
section is now online! I have placed a sample tip about removing
coredump files into the database. You can submit tips for
review, and I will add them to the database after moderation.

02/11/04 - A major update today.
Many scripts added to /bin including
tcltree.tcl - a script to produce graphical tree like
directory listings. Also, sugid, a quick
script to find SUID and SGID files, a ping script rping,
and some smaller scripts myterm,
revwords and revwords.awk.
Probably more worthy of note is the addition of an article
detailing the implementation of Software RAID under
SUSE Linux which can be found here.
Also, a reminder that you can find the ZBKB PHP/Postgres/Apache
Knowledge Base application over at /sbin.
I have a lot more aces up my sleeve for the coming weeks, including
a "Tips 'n' Tricks" section. I'll try and get a newsletter out
at some point this week, time permitting!
