31/03/04 - Head over to /sbin for the latest addition to
the site. A web shell experiment written in Java! I knocked this
up in a couple of hours tonight, and the framework is there, and
is definitely viable!
-
30/03/04 - Check out the /sbin section of the site above,
as I have uploaded my address book program written entirely
using shell scripts. It has the functionality to add and delete
records from the database, as well as search through records
and display the results.
-
29/03/04 - I have added an article to the /var page, which
is a nonsense rant aimed at Moron$oft Corporation. I am currently
preparing another article which is a walkthrough of my shell
initialisation files.
-
25/03/04 - Well, sorry for the lack of updates, but I've
been busy studying away for LPI certification, and learning
Python amongst many other things. I've added more scripts to the
site, including my first stab at a Python script, "grep.py" which
does what it says on the tin, supporting regular expressions too.
-
11/03/04 - More content added - including the Perl
source to the search engine, which can be found on the search
page itself. I am defining the rest of the site content at
present, and will hopefully get it all uploaded within the
next week or so.
-
09/03/04 - I've spent most of today refining the
search facility over at
/usr/bin/find and indexing the site.
The search engine is now a fully featured, AND-logic driven,
highly usable tool. And it's all written in Perl. In 80 lines
of code. Good stuff.
-
08/03/04 - Head over to
/usr/bin/find for the
under development search facility. I am refinining the
Perl script and the underlying index at present, so don't expect
much yet! For starters, try searching for scripts or
sys admin.
-
07/03/04 - I have updated my mkbinhtml script,
which now calls mkbintars in order to tar and gzip the
scripts. The scripts can now be downloaded, as well as viewed,
by clicking the D/L link appropriate to the script.
-
04/03/04 - Site back online. Head over to the /bin
directory for my dynamically updated script repository.
I will be adding content to the /etc, /var and /sbin sections
of the site as and when time permits. Oh, and the entire site
has been validated as W3C HTML 4.01 compliant. Yay.
