23/04/06 - A new tip added - showing how to allow the PURGE
method to purge the squid cache for certain objects - view the tip
here.

22/04/06 - A few housekeeping chores today, plus the addition of a new
article. The article details the configuration and usage of a CVS repository
under Solaris 10. You can view the article here.
I've also added a couple of new scripts to the Script Repository.
spooky.sh is a great way to annoy your fellow sys
admins by redirecting "spooky" typed messages to their terminal with random delays
between characters being output. encdec.sh is a
wrapper for openssl to simplify the encryption and decryption of files.
Some tips were also added to the Tips and Tricks Area.
Postfix monitoring scripts for use with Zabbix,
Linux - Grabbing pmap overview for certain processes,
Finding average CPU idle time with vmstat,
Grabbing Stats from Zabbix and
Extending basic NTFS volumes on Windows 2000 Virtual Machines.
Yes! That last tip is Windoze-related, but it relates to instances running under VMWare
ESX Server so I've uploaded it!

09/04/06 - Seeing as there were some huge updates during February, and the
fact that work has been amazingly busy, I didn't get round to updating the site
last month. Too bad. Anyway, I've found some time to do some work on the site so
onto the update....
I've uploaded a new article covering the configuration of an active-passive Apache
HA Cluster on CentOS 3.5 using heartbeat. You can find the article
here.
I've also uploaded an article showing a complete scripting solution written to
perform a specific task in a heterogeneous environment using a variety of
techniques. Whilst the application itself is very specific to my needs, I think
that the scripting techniques used will be useful to a wide audience, hence my
reasons for publishing it here.
